Kartoniert, 120 Seiten, 220mm x 150mm x 8mm, Sprache(n): eng The experiment aimed to study cucumber response and nutrient uptake under different nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium combination levels, and to determine the proper nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrient requirements for growing cucumber crop in sand culture under plastic houses. This study concerned about the importance of interactions among N, P and K in the production of cucumber crops under plastic house conditions to improve the nutrient balance for optimum plant growth and yield. Total yield and total number of fruits per plant were increased with the increase of N, P and K levels. Low nitrogen level 90 mg/l, with different phosphorus and potassium combination levels, is not suitable for cucumber plants allover the season; medium nitrogen level is, however, suitable till the second week after harvest. The experiment aimed to study cucumber response and nutrient uptake under different nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium combination levels, and to determine the proper nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrient requirements for growing cucumber crop in sand culture under plastic houses.
