T)iokson, of Wilmington, proper credit for priority in dividing the tendo-lchillis subeulancously in the treatment of club-foot. Professor L. A. Sayrc in his manual on the treatment of club- foot, page 33, sajs: " I am informed by Professor A. C. Post that tenotomy was first performed in this country by Dr. Jas. H. Dick- son, of North Carolina, who cut the tendo-Achillis in the case of his brother about 1835." In several lectures delivered on the subject in Bellevue Hospital Medical College, from 1873 to 1875, I have heard Professor Sayrc give this credit to Dr. Dickson.
